All aircraft in our program have Critical Care unit/ICU capabilities and include, U.S. Board Certified physician and Certified flight nurse. All medical, flight, and support staff Accredited by the U.S. Commission of Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS). Our fleet of Learjets, Citation Jets, Gulfstream G-I and Gulfstream G-III aircraft meets ICAO Chapter 3, Stage 3 Noise Compliance requirements and can operate into and out of all noise sensitive airports throughout the world.
Our customized Gulfstream G-III is configured for transport of a single patient and 4 additional passengers. This VIP configuration accommodates one Spectrum aeromedical stretcher that is securely mounted in the forward section of the aircraft near the oversized cargo door for ease in aircraft boarding.
A completely customized lavatory is located in the forward section that allows easy access for both passengers and flight crew. The mid and aft sections are reserved for medical personnel, family members and staff. Oversized first-class leather seating and conference table area are also featured. Each medical movement includes a flight attendant to ensure 100% first class service at all times, as well as maintaining the highest level of safety standards. Specialized catering and on-demand/on-board meal preparation is available (including select wines, if desired). This VIP Gulfstream G-III Air Ambulance is the only one in the world that can provide this level of service.
Medical Team Qualifications
All team members have at least five years of Critical Care experience and are certified in:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS),
- Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS),
- All team members have completed an audit of Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS),
- All medical personnel attend a 48-hour orientation program (which includes 8 hours of Flight Physiology), along with 20 hours of clinical time and an Anesthesia rotation, before going on active flight status,
- Monthly in-service training provided by the Medical Director, along with an annual pharmacology test, invasive skills check offs and medical equipment competencies,
- 100% chart review by the Medical Director, as well as Total Quality Management (TQM).

- All equipment for Critical Care life support is on board and tailored for each individual trip.
As a general rule, the following equipment is present:
- Spectrum Aero Med Life Support Stretcher System; self-contained unit with electrical power, medical O2, suction, work lights, integrated with other patient life support equipment.
- Zoll monitor, charger, spare battery
- Propaq monitor, charger, ECG/NIBP/SPO2/ETCO2 cables, adult B/P cuff, SPO2 sensor, monitor paper
- 2 Minimed pumps with chargers and tubing
- Univent ventilator, charger, 50 psi oxygen hose, OHIO fitting for wall outlet, OHIO quick-connect fitting with 50 psi oxygen hose, regulator for portable oxygen tank, ventilator circuits (x 2), circuit humidifier
- Portable suction unit with charger
- Portable Oxygen
Additional Qualifications and Special Privileges
Approved by the U.S. Department of Defense Commercial Airlift Review Board (CARB) to participate in the DOD Air Transportation Program.
- All pilots, maintenance personnel and administrative staff hold U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance.
- Listed as a FAA Certified air ambulance provider.
- A member in good standing of the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) and National Business Aircraft Association (NBAA).
- A member of the Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS).
- Approved by the U.S. Department of Interior, Office of Aircraft Services (OAS) to participate in the DOI Air Transportation Program.
- Approved by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to provide air transportation services.
- All captains, first officers and flight attendants are under full services training contracts with FlightSafety International.
